Ms. Mulvihill has taken, defended and attended hundreds of expert depositions, including neurologists; nephrologists; orthopedists; ophthalmologists; toxicologists; cardiologists; non-retained treating physicians; accident reconstructionists; property line surveyors; general contracting experts; subcontractor experts industrial hygienists; and cost estimators.

Ms. Mulvihill has drafted, opposed, replied to and appeared at hearings on Demurrers, Motions to Strike, Motions for Judgment on the Pleadings, motions arising from complex discovery disputes, Motions for Summary Adjudication, Motions for Summary Judgment, writs and appeals.

Trial Preparation

Ms. Mulvihill has extensive experience preparing modified Jury Instructions (CACI); drafting and arguing Motions in Limine; preparing Witness Lists, Exhibit Lists and Exhibit Books; preparing witnesses for trial testimony; and drafting Trial Briefs, Opening Briefs, and Closing Briefs.

2008 – 2009.  Senior Trial Attorney for McClaugherty & Associates, Arcadia, California.  Trial attorney, Insurance Defense.  Handled mediations, arbitrations and court trials.  Prepared complex and catastrophic cases for trial by managing attorney, including discovery plan; propounding and responding to written discovery; taking depositions; and preparing trial documents.

 

2000 – 2008.  Managing Attorney for Hyde Mulvihill APC Lawyers, Monrovia, California, and its predecessor firms. Ms. Mulvihill handled general civil litigation matters from inception of the case to trial and through appeals.  Her areas of practiced include insurance coverage litigation, mycological (mold), real estate litigation, complex construction defect litigation, anti-SLAPP and First Amendment matters; and insurance coverage matters.

 

1997 – 2000.  Associate Attorney for Staff Counsel (Santochi, Gable et. al.) Reliance Insurance Company, Glendale.  Ms. Mulvihill established the construction defect defense practice in this Reliance Insurance Company Staff Counsel office.  Ms. Mulvihill also handed large loss matters.
