Cynthia Coulter Mulvihill Cynthia Coulter Mulvihill is the founder and Managing Attorney of The Law Offices of Cynthia Coulter Mulvihill, a Professional Corporation. Established in 1999, the firm has a diverse civil litigation practice. In 2004, Ms. Mulvihill and Sheral Hyde formed Hyde Mulvihill, APC, electing to put Ms. Hyde's name first so clients could pronounce the firm's name. Ms. Mulvihill's hobbies include scrap booking, swimming, and studying mold that colonizes in homes and mold's effects on humans. (She tries not to grow mold samples in her own home.) Ms. Mulvihill began working in the construction industry in 1989, when she joined the Orange County geotechnical and environmental engineering and contracting firm of Moore & Taber (later M&T AGRA, AGRA Earth & Environmental, and now AMEC) as a litigation support assistant and systems administrator. Ms. Mulvihill reviewed and negotiated contracts, reviewed insurance policies, ensured compliance with OSHA regulations, and assisted in investigating workers' compensation claims. After the 1994 Northridge Earthquake, Ms. Mulvihill designed a database to monitor and track geotechnical work assigned to Moore & Taber by insurance carriers. Prior to working for Moore & Taber, Ms. Mulvihill served as an intelligence analyst (Chinese Mandarin) in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserves, achieving the rank of Sergeant before being honorably discharged. While working full time at Moore & Taber, Ms. Mulvihill attended law school at the Orange County campus of Western State University College of Law. Ms. Mulvihill graduated in 1994 with a Specialty in Tax Law and was admitted to the bar later that year. Ms. Mulvihill's first job as an attorney was with a Universal City law firm. She later joined Santochi, Gable, Dwyer & Takahashi, staff counsel for Reliance Insurance Company. Ms. Mulvihill's clients have included individuals, a major American church, developers, general contractors, public entities, framers, plastering (stucco) contractors, sheet metal contractors, roofers, rough graders, fine graders, finish graders, landscapers, concrete (foundation) contractors, concrete (flatwork) contractors, tile contractors, carpeting contractors, painters, plumbers, and electricians, landlords and tenants, and insurance companies. Ms. Mulvihill is the founder of www.cmsynergy.com, an electronic case management website that provides a location where the service list, caption, and case calendar for complex cases can be readily reviewed and copied by anyone interested. The website also has a wealth of free legal research, and directories of law firms and expert witnesses. Sheral A. Hyde Ms. Mulvihill is joined in her practice by associate Sheral A. Hyde. Ms. Hyde's background includes a concentration in earthquake related construction defect litigation, products defect litigation, personal injury defense, and premises liability. Ms. Hyde is a 1979 Dean's List graduate of Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where she majored in English Literature and Communications. Ms. Hyde attended law school at Southwestern University School of Law, graduating in 1987. Ranked seventh in her class, she was a member of The Law Review and consistently listed on the Dean's list.
